GE hires five SMC graduates

Five recruits at GE (formerly General Electric) Africa’s Early Career Development Program (ECDP) graduated from the University this year. They are Esther Mwajuma, Geoffrey Kobia, Laban Cliff Onserio, Rachel Muthoni, and Sharleen Tindi Muthui.
 

Esther Mwajuma has joined GE as a Finance Trainee. She holds a First Class Bachelor of Commerce degree (Accounting option) from the University and is also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) finalist.

 

Geoffrey Kobia has joined GE as a Business Development Analyst. He holds a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance option) from the University. While at the University, Geoffrey and his friends used to give motivation talks to secondary school students in Kibera slums. He was runners up for the chairmanship of the Student Council in 2010.

 

Rachel Muthoni has joined GE as a Business Development Analyst. She holds a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Double Major – Finance and Marketing option) from the University. She was the Vice Chairman of the 2010 Student Council. And she was the founding President of Strathmore Business Club.

 

Laban Cliff Onserio has joined GE as a HR Operations Trainee. He holds a Second Class (Upper Division) Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Business Administration option) from the University and is also a member of the Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM).

Laban served in the pioneer Student Council as the Public Relations representative. He was the founder of SHREC (Strathmore Human Resource Club). Laban is also a rally driver, and professional Master of Ceremonies. See: http://www.strathmore.edu/News.php?NewsID=467

 

Sharleen Tindi Muthui has joined GE as a Finance Trainee. She holds a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (Finance option) from the University. She is in the final stage of the ACCA course at the University.

 

ECDP platform is an entry level 12 month leadership program across all functions designed to offer recent university/college graduates essential skills and leadership training that enables them develop their chosen careers and also build our talent pipeline in Africa.
